Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office For her role, she received the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in the Ensemble Comedy.
She was born and raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was inspired by her mom's performance in church as she began her career.
She is a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons for Being Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has proven to be an enormous success, making in the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her journey to Hollywood as an actor in the field as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends that Were There a memoir of the best friendship they had as well as their experience watching The Office.
