Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child of 4 children. Her parents, both a dental dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on an early stage. The support they provided is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original ambition to be a the first primatologist. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was quick and marked by early success. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou participated in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou studied at Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church when she was a child and was raised Catholic. But she has since gotten away from the Catholic tradition. Neben her acting, Tautou pursued modelling and was the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. A keen photographer, she has recently exhibited during the Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrity and fame, and focuses the camera on the media who sat on her shoulders after her meteoric rise to fame in the film Amelie in addition to a series of self-portraits. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a film box office successes and received acclaim at awards galas across the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to be released in the US. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
